Easy DVD Converter's user interface is small and fairly plain, though it packs a lot in a compact layout, starting with a main window displaying file data under columns we could drag to resize. Strangely, we couldn't resize or maximize the interface as well, though the main window's scroll bar expands with the column headings. Stranger still, the title bar misspells the program's name as "Ease DVD Converter." We clicked the Help file and selected Step-by-Step Guide (DVD to DivX) but the page wouldn't open. The Website link didn't offer much in the way of help, either, though it did offer some basic information about the program's capabilities. But Easy DVD Converter is easy enough to figure out. The conversion process has three modes: Entire, Clip, and Chapters. You simply select Output Mode from a drop-down list, choose or browse to an Output Directory, and press Start. Settings include various video options as well as general System preferences as well as Advanced Options. Like similar tools, Easy DVD Converter offers preconfigured profiles for a wide range of devices, but you can also change the settings for each -- something many other tools omit. Audio and subtitle controls complete the layout.
We inserted a disc and pressed Load DVD. The Clip selector made it easy to set start and end times. Despite the trial limit, Easy DVD Converter did a neat job of converting scenes from a DVD and saving them in useful formats. If you like watching movies on your phone or
creating animated GIFs to post online, Easy DVD Converter is a good place to start
